Important Announcement from Ubuntu Football Trust

Ubuntu Football Trust is pleased to officially announce that we have purchased the FC Cape Town NFD franchise and will be competing in this season's NFD league as Ubuntu Cape Town FC (subject to final approval of the name by the PSL). Over the last few years, it has become very clear to us that the development of young elite footballers is not complete until they have been guided into their first few seasons of exposure at senior professional level. Many bright young prospects fall out of the game, simply because they are not given the game time they need at senior level. Our passion will always remain youth development, and we are excited to pioneer a football club model where the senior structure serves the youth vision, as opposed to the other way around. Our coaching team will be led by Roger Links, with Jean-Pierre Farrugia assisting and Pernell Mckop leading our goalkeeping department. We have partnered with the Athlete Development Centre's exceptional team for our performance requirements. We look forward to the support of you - our Ubuntu Family, in this new venture!
